The soccer camp is run by an organization that teaches soccer; nothing on its website says it is for the purpose of child care. The administrator maintains I must use a child care provider, and if they teach soccer, that’s fine. My daughter is 12. From my perspective, the camp is absolutely necessary for me to work; it is during work hours, near my house, and one of the few childcare arrangements my daughter doesn’t protest. I sign a medical waiver, so I feel this camp has custodial care. I have the tax ID number of the organization. Is there any way to get a deduction for a portion of overnight camp expenses to represent the time you are at work?Jonesynoreply@blogger.com
