For the DON’T MESS WITH TAXES Tax Carnival that is.

Kay has just posted “Tax Carnival #24: Return to Tax Standard Time”. It features the first installment of my series on Year-End Tax Planning “It’s That Time of Year Again – Part I”.

While I have your attention let me point out that the US Supreme Court begins its consideration of tax case Kentucky Department of Revenue v. Davis today.

This case is important to tax professionals and taxpayers alike because it deals with how states tax the interest income from municipal bonds issued by other states.

Paul Caron, the internet’s TAX PROF, provides excellent and extensive coverage of the topic in his post “Supreme Court Hears Oral Argument Today in Davis”.
