WHAT’S THE BUZZ, TELL ME WHAT’S A HAPPENNIN’?

As in the past, I did not want to end a week without a BUZZ post.

* More tax relief for IAN victims.  Kay Bell reports “Carolinas get tax relief, 2/15/2023 deadline in wake of Ian”.
 
* And Russ Fox tells us “FINCEN Gives FBAR Filing Relief for Individuals Impacted by Hurricane Ian”.

* This just in -  “Social Security Announces 8.7% Benefit Increase for 2023”.
 
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services previously released the “2023 Medicare Parts A & B Premiums and Deductibles 2023 Medicare Part D Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amounts” (highlight is mine) –
 
“The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $164.90 for 2023, a decrease of $5.20 from $170.10 in 2022.”
 
So the bottom line is, as stated in the SSA release, “Medicare premiums are going down and Social Security benefits are going up in 2023”.
