WHAT’S THE BUZZ, TELL ME WHAT’S A HAPPENNIN’?

Here is some BUZZ to review after celebrating the indictment of Donald T Rump – the first of many.  Let us pray this is truly the beginning of the end of Trump.

*  More disaster relief from the IRS – “New York storm victims qualify for tax relief; April 18 deadline, other dates extended to May 15”.

The IRS is offering relief to any area designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as a result of storms that occurred between Dec. 23 and Dec. 28, 2022. This means that individuals and households that reside or have a business in Erie, Genesee, Niagara, St. Lawrence and Suffolk counties qualify for tax relief. Other areas added later to the disaster area will also qualify for the same relief.”

* And Jeff Stimpson reports “Mississippi storm victims get federal filing relief” at ACCOUNTING TODAY –

Storm victims in Mississippi now have until July 31 to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments.”

* The word from the New Jersey Division of Taxation –

We are currently issuing Income Tax refunds for the 2022 tax season.

How do you know a payment you received is your refund?

Paper checks are issued from the “Property Tax Relief Fund” and direct deposits are made as “State of N.J. NJSTTAXRFD.”

You can check the status of your NJ state income tax refund here.

And –

We are currently issuing 2019 ANCHOR benefits and will continue to distribute payments through the month of May. ANCHOR benefits will be paid in the form of a direct deposit or check, not as credits to property tax bills.”

One person has told me he has received his ANCHOR benefit via direct deposit.  You can go here to check the status of your ANCHOR benefit.
